First Leg, Up the Inside Passage

We’ve had a busy month since we left Seattle. We traveled approximately 950 nm, all  but a few hours under power due to no wind or too much wind on the nose. We’ve got to keep moving and the wind is perfect out front in the Gulf of Alaska… right NOW! Here are a few photos of the over 2000 images we took while on our way north. Engine, rig and sewing projects (and shopping too, of course!) took up most of our time during our week in Sitka.

We’ve avoided a lot of birds standing on the water.. and their logs too.

Mt. Edgecombe sunset. A beautiful farewell to Sitka after a productive week of boat work and a great visit with sailing friends.

Our next planned stop is Dutch Harbor.
